This investment clearly shows the importance the Cavagna Group attaches to developing its business in this strategic sector requiring maximum guarantees of technological partnership. The new cleanroom will enable the Cavagna Group to further develop its business in medical and industrial gas regulators.
Thanks to its cleanrooms, the Cavagna Group has also strengthened its role as a strategic partner of the main global suppliers of medical equipment. The Cavagna Group facility is a genuine R&D center, dedicated to medical and industrial gas control technologies and offering a valuable service to the entire gas industry, with innovative, efficient and competitive solutions, not least through use of the Internet Of Things.
Created by Pergola, a Cavagna Group Italian subsidiary wholly dedicated to manufacturing medical and specialty gas valves and regulators, the new cleanroom enhances the availability of controlled contamination rooms. In the new facility, which flanks the existing cleanroom in operation for some time, the devices are carefully assembled, tested and packaged to prevent contamination, meeting the most stringent international standards in the medical field.
On the strategic importance of this investment, Valentino Treccani, Director of Pergola, declared: “We decided to expand the facility to allow the Group to continue developing its business in the medical and special gas devices sector. I would also like to emphasize that in so doing, we paid maximum attention to energy saving, using the latest technology in air handling units, together with walls and materials ensuring low particle release and the most advanced sealing techniques. The cooling water comes from a well dug specifically for this purpose, enabling us to reduce the energy consumed for air-conditioning the rooms. Furthermore, the new facility has been designed and built to ensure continuity of operation should a product line be temporarily interrupted “.
