Forbach Cedex, France – April 7, 2025 – Mesura S.a.s, a French company that has been part of the Cavagna Group for over a decade, has signed a significant distribution agreement with Flow Meter Group (FMG) for the product portfolio and services offered by the company. This agreement marks an important step for Mesura in the industrial gas measurement sector in France, as it is now the exclusive distributor of FMG industrial meters on the domestic market.
Flow Meter Group, based in the Netherlands, is an engineering company specialized in the development and production of gas measurement systems. For several years, FMG has collaborated with the Cavagna Group in supplying industrial meters, including both turbine and rotary meters. The Cavagna Group, with its 75-plus years of experience, is a global leader in the manufacture of components and systems for various types of gases.
The agreement includes the distribution of the Transus-branded ultrasonic industrial meter, which, like FMG, belongs to the GMG Group, owner of other leading companies in the manufacture of meter components and engineering of calibration benches for gas meters.
Thanks to this important agreement, Mesura, which has been providing natural gas solutions internationally since 1949, will now be able to offer an even more comprehensive range of products to meet the needs of the entire natural gas supply chain.
“This operation represents a key milestone in the Cavagna Group’s global strategy,” said Rino Cavagna, Executive Vice President of Sales at the Cavagna Group. “Our goal is to increasingly specialize our offerings in every gas sector, ensuring our customers that they can rely on a single supplier for integrated and complete solutions.”
Sebastien Schad, Managing Director of Mesura S.a.s highlighted the significance of the agreement by adding: “Mesura has a strong heritage of value and continuous growth. It is a path that does not stop at our 75 years of history but continues to evolve in response to new market needs. This collaboration with FMG is a tangible demonstration of our commitment to continuous improvement.”
“Over the years,” emphasized Roger Fisher, President of GMG, “our collaboration with the Cavagna Group has been instrumental in penetrating key markets and expanding our global presence. This agreement with Mesura is another important step in strengthening our growth strategy and building an increasingly robust and reliable distribution ecosystem.”
This integration of Mesura’s offering in the French market, as well as in other countries where exclusive distribution agreements for turbine and rotary meters are already in place, represents a strategic expansion for both groups.
Mesura’s range of ultrasonic meters – already state-of-the-art when it comes to gas measurement for fiscal applications – will only be strengthened by the addition of this agreement, which will enable the delivery of increasingly efficient and high-performance solutions for critical points in the supply chain and for major industrial and commercial users.
