CE's speech at opening of Cavagna Group's sales meeting 2010! - 10/02/2010
Following is the speech by the Chief Executive, Mr Davide Cavagna, at the opening of the Cavagna Group's yearly sales meeting.
Ladies and gentlemen,
it is my great pleasure to welcome you all for the annual Cavagna Group's sales meeting. I am particularly grateful to all our friensd who have traveled from overseas to be with us today.
Year 2009 will surely be remebered and during a crisis, past faults begin to cause issues, and this is when a company’s real backbone emerges, and if during these hard times we were able to preserve the true company values, it is likely that our group will come out of this critical situation more united than ever.
The difficulties which together we have overcome have left a permanent trace in our common values, and this critical situation gives us the opportunity to dedicate energy to the heart of the company.
A crisis is a moment of severe discontinuity and of constant distortion in which a critical analysis is extremely important. This MUST lead us to adopt certain measures of efficiency, to rectify those business areas which have not been affective.
Honesty and transparency! These are the ingredients for a healthy and convincing critical analysis and are the essentials values to inspire confidence in all of you and point out the exact direction to be followed.
Our Group has identified this road, which consists in the renewal and confirmation of it commitments, and during this negative contingency rather than looking to our own individual interests, we chose to put the company’s interests in first place, by focusing on the necessity to redefine our objectives.
REDIFINING means interpreting the new target not based on the current circumstances.
I mean assign a FRESH, REAL, TARGET, which intends to explore several opportunities.
The Group is making, as it is has been for several years now, constant and substantial efforts to plan all activities. These Activities involve several position levels of our company.
To be effective these activities must be inserted in a strategic plan in advance. We have achieved a structured form which allows us to take advantage of the opportunities generated from a controlled, accurate and perceptive Company management.
We can no longer allow ourselves to randomly commit to market inquiries. I can’t stress this enough.
There is a METHOD, a JOB VISION, a BASIC APPROACH that MUST be pursued by all of us, with no exceptions; everyone has the obligation to do THEIR SHARE!
